Learn to teach what you love! This 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training with master trainer Peach Friedman will take place in downtown San Luis Obispo, CA, over one month in the Summer of 2020.
Open for enrollment now; limited to twenty students.
This program emphasizes the experiential process of deepening studentship, and thoroughly prepares graduates to teach skillful, thoughtful, sane, and fun yoga classes. Expect to get to know yourself and the budding teacher within, through the lens of yoga.
Program curriculum combines detailed alignment and intelligent sequencing with vinyasa theory, and provides you with sound knowledge and skills to teach safe and effective yoga classes. You will study and deconstruct asana (yoga poses), pranayama (breath work), meditation, applied anatomy, therapeutics, yoga theory & practice, yoga history & philosophy, basic Sanskrit, ethics & boundaries, and you will master the skills required to teach. Most importantly, you’ll learn what impact all of this can have on your life, on and off the mat.
Ideal for serious students of yoga, aspiring yoga teachers, and teachers with varying levels of experience, we welcome all bodies, including “stiff” students, anyone suffering with pain or injury, and those who are working with systemic health challenges. Pregnant bodies are also welcome.
Expect to join Peach onsite for no fewer than 160 on-site learning hours (as more fully detailed in the time/date section below). In addition to onsite learning, students will receive digital access to extensive online learning resources and materials, including workbooks, worksheets, and other documents via our school’s very own online learning platform. Accordingly, over the course of this training you will be enrolled in no fewer than four of our most essential online courses (Essential Poses & Practice, Essential Teaching Skills, Anatomy Primer and Philosophy Primer) with a retail value $1500.00. "I loved the experience and signed up for the 300 hour program even before I finished. Aside from just being able to focus on yoga for 8 hours a day, a week at a time, with incredible instructors, I enjoyed working with my classmates and watching us all grow as yoga practitioners and instructors.” - Jeff Swanson
“ I would highly recommend the The Mazé Method 200 hour teacher training because it’s not just about learning to teach yoga poses. It’s learning about yourself. It’s about individual growth. That’s why I chose to study with The Mazé Method. Through this training I’ve become much more observant and gained awareness and understanding of what the poses do for our bodies. I joined the program to deepen my knowledge, but it has also been about evolvement in my own being. It’s been scary, exciting, very emotional and wonderful for me.”—Laura Wang
