Form, Function & Flow: Demystifying Vinyasa Immersion

For vinyasa yogis (and teachers of vinyasa) of all levels, this workshop will expand your understanding of vinyasa yoga, breath based movement, bandhas, linked poses, vinyasa sequencing and pose improvement strategies. Part 1 will dive deeply into vinyasa theory and understanding of pose analysis and improvement, vinyasa organizing principles, sequencing and how to skillfully balance pose alignment and vinyasa choreography, dynamic pace, rhythm and breath awareness. Part 2 will dive deeply into all things vinyasa with a strong vinyasa workshop style class. You will acquire knowledge and many relevant and practical tools and techniques to implement into your practice (and teaching). Please bring a towel and a notebook.

Slow Cook Your Core

Got core strength? This class will strengthen your deep core stabilizers as well as your more global core muscles as we circumambulate 360 degrees around your torso and pelvis with strengthening poses and drills. We begin with the pelvic floor and transverse abdominus, into supine core strengtheners and hip openers, boat pose and plank pose variations, inner thigh strengtheners, outer hip stabilizers, back strengthening poses and culminating arm balances and inversions. Your core will be slow cooked and your shoulders will get some bonus strengthening too! All levels; come ready to work hard and have fun.

Bend, Don’t Break

Cultivate resiliency in your body and spirit in this workshop focusing on twists, side bending and back bending postures and actions. You will be deeply nourished as you learn to bend with appropriate tensile strength as you stabilize and mobilize your spine, pelvis and hips. This workshop will feature step-by-step sequencing, clear instructions, attention to alignment and stages appropriate for all yogis of all levels.

Liquid Strength

This full spectrum vinyasa flow class will heat you up to the point of liquefaction. Beginning with opening poses and pranayama, we will progress into sun salutations, linked standing pose flows, build core and shoulder strength in basic arm balances, turn in with forward folds and round it all out with some basic backbends. This all levels workshop is not about fancy trick poses, but rather maintaining focus and alignment within the fluidity of movement and the rhythm of your breath through all poses and transitions.

About Workshops with Noah Mazé

Noah teaches yoga workshops all over the world. This program is for dedicated yoga students who want to take some extra time to explore postures in a meaningful, refined, methodical way and learn practical strategies for building strength, flexibility and focus. Noah will provide the attention you need to help you achieve your personal goals in your physical yoga/asana practice.

Morning asana sessions tend to be upbeat, with an emphasis on standing postures, backbends, arm balances and/or vinyasa flow. We turn inward as the sun wanes to forward bends, inversions and restorative postures. Students can expect to leave this program with a deeper, more expansive practice, and know how best to grow your yoga practice in the context of her/his own limits and boundaries.
