Workshop

Noah Mazé - Vancouver, BC, Canada
June 8- 9 2019

Join Noah Mazé for a weekend of workshops in Vancouver June 2019!

This intensive style yoga weekend includes the following sessions:

Demystifying Alignment

This workshop will expand your understanding of yoga asana, functional anatomy and kinesiology and sequencing with a dynamic mix of theory and experiential practice. For yogis of all levels, this session will increase your knowledge and you will gain new tools and skills to implement into your yoga practice (and teaching). Every pose is a combination of stability and ease (sthira / sukha), but all to often we get bogged down with contradictory alignment cues and actions that leave us overwhelmed and confused, both physically and mentally. Through lecture, prop work, and experiential learning, Noah will offer a powerful and logical, step-by-step process for understanding and practicing asana alignment in this compelling workshop. Expect 45+ minutes of theory/lecture/discussion followed by an alignment based peak pose workshop. Please bring a notebook.

Demystifying Vinyasa

For vinyasa yogis of all levels, this workshop will expand your understanding of vinyasa yoga, breath based movement and linked poses. We dive deeply into all things vinyasa with a mix of theory, discussion and experiential practice. You will acquire knowledge and many relevant and practical tools and techniques to implement into your practice (and teaching). We will explore organizing principles of vinyasa practice and how to best accomplish these: pacing, rhythm, breath, bandhas, drishti, choreography, alignment and vinyasa sequencing considerations. Expect 45+ minutes of theory/lecture/discussion followed by a full spectrum vinyasa workshop. Please bring a notebook.

About Workshops with Noah Mazé

Noah teaches yoga workshops all over the world. This program is for dedicated yoga students who want to take some extra time to explore postures in a meaningful, refined, methodical way and learn practical strategies for building strength, flexibility and focus. Noah will provide the attention you need to help you achieve your personal goals in your physical yoga/asana practice.

Morning asana sessions tend to be upbeat, with an emphasis on standing postures, backbends, arm balances and/or vinyasa flow. We turn inward as the sun wanes to forward bends, inversions and restorative postures. Students can expect to leave this program with a deeper, more expansive practice, and know how best to grow your yoga practice in the context of her/his own limits and boundaries.
