Yoga Strong asanatomy 9 class series

May 7-10 (W-Sat) & May 12-16 (M-F), 10-11:30am MST

Welcome to ASANATOMY – Noah’s YogaStrong 9-class series in May!  If you are interested in learning more about your body and consciously exploring its capacity to move, looking to empower yourself with more skills to refine your practice, activate new creative pathways into increased mobility/movement and stabilization/strength, join us for this Asanatomy series!

Each alignment-based yoga class in this series will be a treasure trove of experiential learning of functional anatomy, kinesiological principles, and applied biomechanics. Each class in this series focuses on a kinesiological principle and/or targets a specific anatomical body region. Expect detailed instruction, progressive sequencing, frequent and creative use of props, activation skills and drills, and strong work in yoga poses.

How does it work to participate? Register and join the live daily classes at 10am MST, May 7-10 and 12-16 in the course page to practice together live online. If you can’t make the live class, or to repeat the practice, you can access the class recording shortly after each live practice completes. Repeat the classes as many times as you want for 2+ weeks after the final session completes. If you wish to maintain your access longer, join our YogaLive subscription and continue accessing these 9 classes and the entire archive of 120+ YogaLive classes on MazeOnYoga.com.

What props do I need? I love props and often teach and practice with lots, but you can also make do with whatever you have available that day (I will give options for those who have fewer props available). If you don’t have exactly what I’m using, just improvise as best you can and substitute for what you don’t have with what you do have. In general (and if possible), I recommend having on hand: a yoga mat, 3 to 5 yoga blankets, a bolster or pillow, 2 blocks, a strap, a resistance band, a backless yoga chair, sliders (blankets or towels or socks on a hard surface floor, or furniture/exercise sliders), and light hand weights.

Tuition Assistance: In these times of extreme weather events, political turmoil, and financial insecurity, we will continue to offer scholarships for folks in need; whether that is you, or someone you know, this is a tangible way that we can give back to our community and pay it forward. If you want to participate but cannot afford tuition, email us at themazemethod@icloud.com. We are here for you in all the ways we can be. Those of you that can afford tuition, know that you are supporting our work AND helping others to access yogic practices, and we are grateful for you.
