Skill in Action: Sequence, Align, Activate Advanced sequencing for alignment yogis

Noah Mazé - Global Online
7 Days: September 1-4 & 8-10

In these seven days of online teacher training, we dive deeply into pose based sequencing and teaching strategies for instructional/alignment style yoga. Come ready to geek out on yoga poses, expand and apply your knowledge of functional anatomy, sharpen your teaching tools, and broaden the range, depth and potency of your teaching and practice.

This seven-day training is offered over the first two weeks of September; 1-4 and 8-10, 2020. You may attend live in real time, from 8:30am PST to 2:30PM PST, to maximize your learning in community, or you may unpack the archived lessons again and again on your own schedule. In addition to the essential sessions, each day will include bonus classes and resources so that you have plenty of continued experiential learning between the sessions and over the weeks and months following.

This is not an introductory teacher training; it is for existing and experienced teachers who wish to expand their knowledge and skills, become more potent and precise with their teaching, revitalize their practice, and reawaken their creativity and love of teaching. This is Module 4 for current Mazé Method YTT300 trainees, and offered as a Teacher Tune-Up for qualified applicants with a YTT200 prerequisite who seek continuing education.

Over these 7 days you will:

  • Practice daily contemplative meditation
  • Learn and analyze specific sequencing strategies each day
  • Review, expand and refine alignment teaching techniques
  • Be in community, engage in whole group and small group conversations, share your experiences, and learn from others
  • Analyze and deconstruct poses
  • Exponentially grow your pose knowledge
  • Increase your repertoire of pose and movement regressions and progressions
  • Increase your knowledge and accuracy of functional anatomy, kinesiology and applied biomechanics
  • Practice daily yoga classes to increase your experiential understanding of the sequencing theory and teaching pedagogy
  • Increase your motor skills and revitalize your mindful movement and postural yoga practice
  • Learn more skills and drills and refine your existing repertoire
  • Gain new insights to experiment on and test in the laboratory of your own practice
  • Create your own sequences based on the daily lessons
  • Fill your cup with inspiration and excitement and technique to share with your students

Full participation in real time is highly recommended to maximize your online learning in a group environment. However, life is busy and full participation is not always possible. All sessions are archived and available within 24 hours after each ends (and in most cases sooner). Usually students may engage with missed sessions later on the same day of offering.

Additionally, the perk of learning online is students may repeat sessions at a later time. There is always more to learn and repetition is sometimes useful and always a great resource. Despite when you participate, students may earn credit; as we are able to verify and track your participation. While we prefer real time student participation, anyone not participating live can still have an exceptionally rich and rewarding experience.

This training is led by Noah Mazé.

“I would definitely recommend this program, and I already have. It was top notch in quality and quantity of material, as well as in support and openness and communication. Noah’s unique experience has produced an unparalleled leader, facilitator, and guide. Lessons learned in our training modules have extended far beyond the scope of yoga into life and relating to others in a more effective manner. I received SO MUCH, this training goes above and beyond for any student wanting to deepen their skills, gain confidence, and reach a new level of mastery in yoga.”

“Noah is inspiring and exhibits an unparalleled mastery of teaching. For some time now, I have been contemplating the notion, “be impeccable with your word.” I tried to think of people who embody this and would often come up empty until I met Noah. Noah is careful with his words, exhibits accuracy, accountability, and thoughtful articulation. These are important qualities in an effective leader. When Noah speaks, people listen – and they take it to heart. Along with that, he also embodies creativity, playfulness, humor, sensitivity, and ardor. All of these qualities make for a very well-rounded, inspiring leader and I feel honored to have received guidance and to have learned such a great deal, not just about yoga, but about life.”
